Hyundai boasts four models that offer 40 mpg highway fuel economy  Speculation that gas prices will continue to rise throughout the spring and summer may scare some individuals from applying for a bad credit car loan in order to purchase a new vehicle.

However, some manufacturers have gone to great lengths to ensure that their clients will not be punished at the pumps, no matter how high the cost per gallon. For example, the Hyundai Motor Company has produced four models that achieve 40 miles per gallon (mpg): Sonata Hybrid, Elantra, Veloster and Accent.

"These vehicles achieve 40 mpg highway without any additional cost or sacrificing content for a high fuel economy package, making them more attractive to general car buyers,” said Mike O'Brien, vice president of product and corporate planning for Hyundai Motor America.

Hyundai officials said that their commitment to making cost-affordable, eco-friendly cars will continue for many years to come. They hope to have their fleet average at least 50 mpg by 2025.
