After weeks of anticipation and internet leaks, BMW has finally revealed its new model for 2012, the M5.
Fox Sports reports that the "lag-free" luxury sedan boasts just seven pounds per horsepower. It has a turbo V-8 TwinPower engine that is rated at 560 horsepower at 6,000-7,000 RPM. It also has 502 pound-feet of torque from 1,500 RPM.
The car can accelerate from zero to 60 miles per hour in just over 4 seconds, and takes just nine seconds more to get to 124 miles per hour.
Outside, the car's appearance differentiates this model from the standard 5-series. Its front bumper has large air intakes for the engine and brakes, as well as quad exhaust pipes, a trunk lid spoiler, and flared wheel arches. The aerodynamic rear bumper sits on 19-inch M-light wheels.
Inside, the vehicle boasts Merino leather upholstery on its M sport seats, aluminum trim and leather center console trim. In addition, the car is relatively fuel efficient – it clocks in at 23.7 miles per gallon.
